ANNOUNCEMENTS!

Dear History Majors,
Welcome back!  A special welcome to the incoming Freshman and the first quarter Transfer Students.  An orientation for incoming freshman is scheduled on Tuesday, Sept. 23rd at 2:00-3:00 in the Humanities & Social Science Bldg., Room 6008.

Appointments may be made with an Undergraduate Student Affairs Advisor, Amber Rieder (historyundergrad@ucsd.edu), or the Undergraduate Student Affairs Assistant, Danielle Swenson (historyundergrad@ucsd.edu), after the second week of the quarter. Student Advising hours are Monday-Friday 9:30-11:30 am, 1:30-3:30 pm, and by appointment.

Professor Sarah Schneewind will be the History Undergraduate Director for the 2008-2009 academic year.

HISTORY WAIT LIST POLICY:
The campus has a new wait list system in place. Wait lists are automated. When a seat becomes available in a course, the next eligible person from the wait list will be automatically enrolled.

Classes can be wait listed until the end of the second week of classes. If you do not meet the class requirements/prerequisites, the wait list system will not add you into the class.

FALL ADVISING:
Student Affairs Advisors will process degree checks after the second week of the quarter. If you are a graduating senior (WI09 or SP09), you should stop by for a degree check.
