The Undergraduate MinorMinor Requirements The minor consists of at least seven courses.
*Students may satisfy the lower-division requireemnt for the minor by completing two quarters of any HILD sequence, or the Revelle College Humanities sequence, or the Roosevelt College "Making of the Modern World" sequence. (For students enrolled prior to Winter1998, the minor consists of at least six courses, three of which must be upper-division.) AP students entering with advanced placement (3 or better) credit in History may have part of the lower-division requirement waived. Transfer students, after consulting with the Director of Undergraduate Studies, may petition to substitute a two-sememster or three-quarter survey from another school for the Department's lower-division requirement.
IMPORTANT: Please check your transfer record on Tritonlink. If you took a course and it does not appear on your Studentlink record, please contact the Registrar's Office. Students enrolled in HILD, or MMW, or Humanities may have already fulfilled up to one third of the History Minor Requirements. Studying Abroad History students are encouraged to participate in the UC Study Abroad Programs, while still making progress towards completing their minor. Courses to be transferred toward the minor must be the equivalent of at least four upper-division units at UCSD. The Department ordinarily transfers up to two courses toward the minor.
