New Faculty Appointments
The Department of History is pleased to announce the following faculty have joined the department:
Thomas Gallant (Ph.D., Cambridge University, UK, 1982; Professor and Nicholas Family Endowed Chair in Modern Greek History) specializes in modern Greek history with special interest in rural society and culture, crime and violence, masculinity and gender, cultural identity, colonial power and government, and the social history of the Mediterranean.
Cathy Gere (Ph.D., Cambridge University, UK, 2002; Assistant Professor) concentrates on biomedical ethics, and the history of medicine and the neurosciences.
Mark Hanna (Ph.D., Harvard University, 2006; Assistant Professor) specializes in early American history, with an emphasis on the Atlantic World, and early modern European history.
