History Department Principles of Community
At the UC San Diego History Department, we are committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community. All members—faculty, staff, students, and visitors—are expected to uphold the University’s Principles of Community. By adhering to this Code of Conduct, we create a safe, vibrant, and scholarly environment where everyone can thrive.
Academic Conduct and Integrity
As a representative of the department and university, you are expected to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity. This includes upholding the University's Policy on Integrity of Research and the Responsible Conduct of Research, and adhering to the UC San Diego Academic Integrity Policy, which applies to academic course work for both undergraduate and graduate students. We recommend familiarizing yourself with the University's policies on academic conduct, including the Student Conduct Policies and Procedures, the Graduate Student Handbook, and the Department Graduate Mentoring Compact.
